St Joseph & St Patrick's is a Parish in Wemyss Bay within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Paisley.
It is a community of faith seeking to live the presence of Jesus Christ by the way we worship God, celebrate the sacraments, proclaim the Gospel, and serve one another and our neighbours.
Prayer Circle
The Prayer Circle are here to pray for any specific requests.
These may include:
Healing and Comfort: Praying for physical recovery, emotional relief, or mental peace for individuals who are sick, grieving, or distressed.
Protection and Sanctuary: Invoking a sense of divine safety to keep harm, danger, or fear away from a person, family, or location.
Intercession for Others: Interceding on behalf of people facing specific trials, such as families in conflict, people without work, or those affected by war and injustice.
Guidance and Surrender: Submitting personal desires, dreams, or life choices to a higher spiritual will and seeking wisdom for the path ahead.
Community and Unity: Uniting a group through shared faith, mutual emotional support, and a collective sense of belonging.
Gratitude and Thanksgiving: Offering joint praise for answered prayers, recovered health, or general blessings and joy.

Parish Registration
We invite all those who attend St Joseph & St Patrick’s, whether regularly or occasionally, to complete an online parish registration.
Those who register will be able to access their own details along with other features on their mobile device using an app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

GIFT AID
Gift Aid is an arrangement that allows charities (including churches) to reclaim tax on a donation made by a UK taxpayer. This means every donation will be worth 25% more, at no extra cost to you the giver. For example, with Gift Aid the Parish can claim an extra 25p for every £1 donated, which makes a huge difference.
If you would like to support your Parish with Gift Aid, you simply need to complete a Gift Aid Declaration. A Gift Aid Declaration is the giver’s declaration that they wish for the Parish to reclaim tax on their gift and can be made for a single donation or for multiple donations.

BANK STANDING ORDER
For the Parish to claim Gift Aid, we need to be able to identify any donations that you make. A Bank Standing Order is the best way to ensure that we can identify your donations.
You do not have to be a gift aider to set up a standing order. A standing Order is the most cost-effective way to ensure the Parish benefits from whatever regular giving you can afford.
If you do online banking, you can create a standing order yourself and make adjustments when required. You will need the Parish bank details to set this up (name, sort code and account number), so please let us know and we will provide the relevant details.
Alternatively, there are paper copies of Standing Order forms in the church porch area or you can print one from here.
SAFEGUARDING
Safeguarding is the shared responsibility of everyone to ensure the safety and protection of children, young people and vulnerable adults. It is also about ensuring the professional and safe behaviour of everyone who has a duty of care within our Catholic communities whether ordained or lay and whether in a paid or volunteer position. Safeguarding is not only a way to respond to harm but must be proactive in the prevention of any form of abuse or harm.
